Daryl was arrested after sitting down on the pavement, and refusing to move. She, along with many other protesters were demonstrating against a planned pipeline running from Canada along the US Gulf Coat. Hannah said that the activists “….wanted to be free from dependence on fossil fuels and hoped Barack Obama would support their cause.”
This isn’t the first time Daryl Hannah has been arrested, in 2009 the Kill Bill and Splash actress was arrested for protesting against mountaintop removal mining in West Virginia!
